What Christmas Is All About: A Charlie Brown Christmas (Animated Special) (FanListing)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: I really like these types of 2 column center space layouts, but they never work.  I had to do this one quick, and then I lost it right away because my hosting company was incompetent and I couldn't meet the TFL updating schedule.  It was pretty ugly, and the worst part was that the incompetent staff of the Animation category had approved two FLs for it. No idea on the font.

Peanuts Roasting on an Open Fire: A Charlie Brown Christmas (Soundtrack Album) (FanListing)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: I just scanned my cd and put together a simple tables/php layout.  Nothing special.  The font may have been AvantGarde, but I don't know.  A casualty of hosting incompetence.

Red Door: Farscape 1.16 "A Human Reaction" (FanListing)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 2.0
Title: Summer Camp
Description: This is one of my favorite FL layouts.  It started out as an iframe, but I converted it to a php page.  I pixeled the photo templates, and did a letter from John to Moya and captions.  It was fun.  I believe the font was Mistral.  This was a casualty of hosting incompetence.

Red Door: Farscape 1.16 "A Human Reaction" (FanListing)

Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: I was still learning how to deal with manipulating screenshots and fonts, and it really shows in this layout.  I still think the shot of Crichton is lovely with Ben Browder's baby blues in striking relief.  The font was lost long ago.  Layout was table with iframe.

Capulet

  Hosted On: Digital-Pumpkin.net
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: I ran a small collective of screen capture sites for about a year.  This was the layout for the collective index.  The image was edited together from a Polaroid ad, and a screenshot of the movie Romeo + Juliet (hence "Capulet").  I really loved this layout, but the navigation buttons were always too light to read well.  Not sure of the font.  I closed the subdomain and all the capture sites when I realized that I just didn't have the storage space to really hold them.

The Locket: Angel 3.1 "Heartthrob" (Screen Captures)

  Hosted On: Digital-Pumpkin.net
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: I really liked how the image bar blended the screenshots of the necklace together.  It was my first experimentation with that style of image bar.  There was one capture of the locket with a horrendous orange background that I just couldn't blend, so I left it out.  A Tables layout, with another font lost to the sands of time.

Thank You, Aeryn Sun: Farscape 1.16 "A Human Reaction" (Screen Captures)

  Hosted On: Digital-Pumpkin.net
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: This is one of my favorite layouts ever!  I pixeled the photo, clothespin, string, and spike graphics, and I loved how the title graphic utilizing the Farscape font turned out.  Shrunken screenshots completed the look.  Tables Layout.  I basically made it because I'd capped the episode for the fanlisting, and just couldn't throw the extras away.

Palmer's Kiss: Romeo + Juliet (Screen Captures)

  Hosted On: Digital-Pumpkin.net
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: I utilized a tiny little polaroid template for the itty bitty screen shots.  There weren't many captures here, so it was pretty sparse.  The font was Harrington.  The color was bright, and inspired by the "fish tank" scene in the movie.  Tables layout.

Happy Toes: Birkenstock Socks (TabooListing)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: I originally applied for a fanlisting at TFL for these, but was snottily told that they didn't accept brand items - yet they do now.  Huh.  Anyway, I then applied for it at the Taboolistings and was approved.  I closed it when I got no members.  It was a side scrolling table layout that never quite worked with the php scripting of enthusiast.  The Font was Heartland.

ImOrca's #183 T.C.P.

  Hosted On: ImOrca.nu
Version: 2.0
Title: Mariru's Trading Card Page
Description: #183 is the pokemon number of Marrill, and T.C.P. stands for "trading cards page."  This page housed my needs and extras lists of trading cards.  Hosted first on AOL Hometown, then ImOrca.nu.  Features images of Marrill from a Pokemon trade magazine.  Font was Futura, I think.  I closed it because I finished most of my card sets, and got very few trading inquiries.

Shadow & Light: Catwoman (Series) (FanListing)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: This featured the "portrait" covers from the Catwoman comic.  The left was from "volume 1" - when she was shadow - and the right was from "volume 2" - when she was light.  Font was Velvet.  I really loved this layout, and the black/white/lilac scheme really worked, I thought.  The whole thing seemed to shine. A casualty of hosting incompetence.

I'll Gnaw Your Face Off:  The Cheat (FanListing)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: Yet another casualty of hosting incompetence.  I only got to run this for about a month.  It was very simply a printscreen of the Cheat from homestarrunner.com.  Tables/php.  Font was Comic Sans.

Clique / Think

  Hosted On: ImOrca.nu then Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: Once upon a time, the web was full of fun joinable things called "cliques."  Unfortunately, they died as fast as they sprang up.  I found them to be a really fun idea that was really poorly implemented.  One day I wrote a blog entry about how much bad webmasters for these things bothered me, and I ended up expanding on that for an "advice" site.  Nobody ever went to it, and now cliques are pretty much dead.  The site succumbed because I was right - cliques were run so poorly that people all abandoned them.  I don't know what the font was, but I wish I still had it.

Shiny Happy Fonts

  Hosted On: ImOrca.nu
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: Before I understood images, I used to design sites using great fonts, which I coded into the <font> tag.  Of course, not everyone on the other end had those fonts on their computers.  So, I thought the only way to fix it was to distribute the fonts themselves.  I have no idea if anyone ever downloaded the zip file with the fonts in them, but it was up for a lot of years.  Even after I figured out the image stuff I left it up.  The font of the title is Zodiastic and a wingding (I think).

Diagonally!:  Floo Powder (FanListing)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: I edited together 2 screenshots from the 2nd Potter movie.  I thought it turned out with very pleasing colors.  The font was Bard.  Tables/php.  Also a casualty of incompetent hosting.

Buttons: Halloren Kugeln (FanListing)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: The image was from a box of this scrumptious candy.  It was my favorite chocolate from my second trip to Europe, spent mostly in Germany.  These candies were from the city of Halle, and are based on the buttons of the medieval salt sellers coats.  Unfortunately it never had many members, and I let it go when the hosting issues started.  Unsure of the font.  As I recall, the trouble checks kept trying to close me because they couldn't read - I had a special "check-in section" that they couldn't never seem to spot!

The Big Dot: Hard Rock Cafe Pins (FanListing)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: I was really proud because I created the pin-inspired graphic myself.  It was quite a bit of work, but turned out awesome.  I used the Hard Rock Cafe font, and Arial, I believe.  It never had much membership, so I closed it when the hosting went south.

Homophone Vanity (FanListing Accent)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 2.0
Title: None
Description: When fanlistings became popular, I tried opening the clique again, as a type of fanlisting accent.  I even got listed on the links a tfl.org.   But no luck.  New version had Bernhard Fashion font as was slightly less busy.

Homophone Vanity (Clique)

  Hosted On: ImOrca.nu
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: This is the absolute greatest clique idea that never took off.  The concept was that you got listed with things you were a fan of that shared your same name in spelling or sound.  I commissioned original artwork for it and everything.  The graphic features 3 homophones for me:  Meryl Stryfe from Trigun, Meryl Silverburgh from Metal Gear Solid, and Marill from Pokemon.  Sadly, it didn't ever work out.  Iframes layout. I think the font is just verdana.

Dolphindexer: Linkster Script (FanListing)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: The title was a combination of the script author (Dream Dolphin Studios) and the purpose of the script (a link "index").  I pretty much put together a mock-up of the script site for the fanlisting.  They took the script down within about 6 months of when I opened the FL, and then I got very few members.  It was easy to give up when my host screwed me over.

Blithe Spirit: Meg Ryan's Movies (TabooListing)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: I really loved how this one turned out.  I edited screenshots of my favorite Ryan roles into a negative template.  It never got off the ground because the Taboolistings stopped answering any e-mails, about the time they changed servers, and then never got around to fixing their script or layout.  I tried twice to get back through to them, but finally gave up.  Without a directory - no traffic.

NuWaves (WebRing)

  Hosted On: ImOrca.nu
Version: 3.0
Title: None
Description: I lost the FL to the hosting debacle, but held onto the webring.  When I knew that I'd be closing ImOrca.nu I did a new layout in hopes of attracting an adopter, which I did.  This layout is still posted at its new home - echoes.nu.  Font is papyrus. Image from getty.

NuWaves (WebRing and FanListing)

  Hosted On: ImOrca.nu & Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 2.0
Title: None
Description: I did a new layout featuring a Getty image and the NuWaves font in honor of being approved to run the .nu domains fanlisting.  I created an elaborately integrate website for the two functions.  I always thought the layout was ugly and hated the font.
  Main: Website:

NuWaves (WebRing)

  Hosted On: ImOrca.nu
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: I adopted this ring, and gave it a new layout.  I thought this frog was just too cute!  I believe it was from a magazine ad as well.  Font was Dragonwick.  Iframe and layered tables.  I finally figured out how to do the centered and bordered thing I'd been struggling with.  Yeah...I know...not really that big a deal...but I felt proud.

Secluded Pool

  Hosted On: ImOrca.nu
Version: 2.0
Title: Rosie
Description: This was based on the famous "Rosie the Riveter" image.  I had a "personal" site, back when everyone had one - in the days before blogging hit.  I closed it because nobody ever visited it, and I got a blog like everyone else.  The font was...something cool? Iframes/table layout.  One thing I still love about this layout was the placement of the menu to the left of the image.  I've never had one that worked quite that well again.
  Main: Website:

Secluded Pool

  Hosted On: ImOrca.nu
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: This featured a heavily edited image from a magazine advertisement.  I chose a swimming theme because I was a pool kid and a lifeguard for many years.  It's still the only thing I really like to do for exercise. Font is unkown.

Tracking: PHPList Script (FanListing)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: It turned out that this script was not secure, and the domain it was hosted on went defunct about 6 months after I opened the listing.  I was the only member ever to join ^_^.  I closed it for obvious reasons.  The font was Courier New and the image was from getty.

Meryl's Quilting Bee Quilt

  Hosted On: Digital-Pumpkin.net
Version: 3.0
Title: None
Description: This was my only original pixeled layout.  Since it was hosted at digital-pumpkin.net, it was a pixeled pumpkin.  I was in love with this layout.  It took forever, but I thought it was totally great.  I modeled the vines on the qbee main page at the time, and used the background that was there.  It used an iframe, with the Micro font.  I ended up retiring from the club because I just couldn't do as much as I wanted to, especially the trading.

ImOrca's Quilting Bee Quilt

  Hosted On: Digital-Pumpkin.net
Version: 2.0
Title: None
Description: This layout utilized the qbee's php script, and to be hosted on DP.  It really isn't anything that special, because it doesn't include any interface to enter patches (which would be the really cool code), but it does line up the patches nicely.  I used a pre-made background image from the qbee, and edited just slightly.
  Main: Website:

ImOrca's Quilting Bee Quilt

  Hosted On: ImOrca.nu
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: This was my first QBee quilt.  The quilt itself features a border I made.  It was just a tables layout, really nothing fancy.  It matched the Identify layout of that time.  The font was Chubble.

Does Grammar Real Matter? Real Simple (FanListing)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 1.0

Description: Another one that bit the dust due to hosting.  It never had many members.  The layout was based on a photograph I took of my magazines on the kitchen table.  The font was AvantGarde or Futura LT.

Shiofuki

  Hosted On: Digital-Pumpkin.net
Version: 6.0 (7th)
Title: Night Breaching
Description: Featured the artwork of Stephanie Clark and the Freebooter script.  This didn't last long, because I just gave up on the blog thing.  It had never been something important to me.  I kind of did it (like the personal site) because everyone else seemed to.  I just do livejournal occasionally.

Title: Deep Ocean
Description: This was my very favorite blog layout of them all.  It featured an image by Richard Borsheim, and Scriptina and Verdana fonts.  I prefer the left menu, for some reason.  And purple is always a favorite for me.

Shiofuki

  Hosted On: Digital-Pumpkin.net
Version: 4.0 (5th)
Title: None
Description: This was the first version that utilized the wordpress blogging script.  The image is a fairly common one that circulates on the web.  I pixelated the little pencil, which would be a feature of all layouts after this one.  The lines in the menu were a bitch to get to work.  I loved the paw prints.  Font = Scriptina.

  Hosted On: Pitas.com
Version: 1.0 (2nd)
Title: None
Description: This was the 1st layout I used when the blog was hosted on pitas.com.  It utilized a graphic from a very old Nike advertisement.  When I was a tiny girl - like 3 - I took dance and wanted to be a ballerina.  I have a necklace from back then, and this image always reminded me of that.  The font was  BarrettIronwork.  I only started numbering the layouts with this one, but there was a previous version hosted on blogspot - see the "missing" section.

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org

  Hosted On: ImOrca.nu
Version: 1.0
Title: A Tiny Bite of the Big Bad
Description: This was a tiny shrine to Spike of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  I really thought he was very cool.  Still do.  It was one of those completely tiny layouts that were popular at the time.  The images were absolutely horrendous, having scanned them from the BTVS board game.  The only thing I like was the blood droplets navigation.

Now I See: The Dead Zone (TV) (FanListing)

  Hosted On: Scrumtrulescent.org
Version: 3.0
Title: None
Description: This was one of my favorite layouts because of what I did with the graphic.  You really can't see in the screenshot, but I de-saturated and tinted the image, but went back in and put in her original eye and lip color.  Neat!  I had pretty much stopped watching the show in the first season, so it wasn't much of a sacrifice when the hosting killed it. Image from the USA Network website, font = Carpenter.

Title: None
Description: I edited a promotional photo from the official USA site for The Dead Zone, and layered numerous sizes and colors of text in Carpenter font.  Tables layout.  I originally planned it to be blue, not purple as it turned out.  This was also my very first fanlisting, and I think it originally had a splash page.

Winged! Anime/Manga Clique

  Hosted On: ImOrca.com
Version: 1.0
Title: None
Description: This layout featured a doll of Belldandy used by permission from Mystic Heaven.  Long ago there was a clique just like this at a domain called "magnificent slacks."  I always wanted to join, but it was not accepting members once I found it, and then it closed.  That sucked.  So years later I resurrected it.  However, I was the only one who ever joined.  So, I closed it after a year.  Fonts = Scriptina & Micro.
